Rep. Rick Quinn, R-Lexington will get his trial on Feb. 26.

Quinn’s trial date was set Tuesday by Circuit Court Judge Carmen Mullen in a Beaufort court room.
Quinn has been charged with criminal conspiracy and misconduct in office.

Special prosecutor David Pascoe is investigating alleged crimes by state lawmakers. As a part of the continuing probe, two members of the legislature (former House Speaker Bobby Harrell and Rep. Jim Merrill) have pleaded guilty to corruption charges and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors.

Political consultant Richard Quinn, Rick Quinn’s father, has been charged with criminal conspiracy and illegal lobbying. Rick Quinn’s trial will be held – and ideally be adjudicated- before the filing date to run for re-election.

State Sen. John Courson, R-Richland and former House members Tracy Edge of Horry County and Jim Harrision of Richland County have also been charged as a part of Pascoe’s investigation.
None have been tried yet.
