Officers with the Springdale Police Department responded to 3016 Platt Springs Road in Springdale at approximately 11:30 a.m. in reference to an armed robbery that just occurred minutes prior.

Just after 11 a.m. a man entered the Quick Trip 3 Mobile gas station, presented a firearm and demanded money from the cash register.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark sweatshirt (possibly blue), a black wave cap, black shoes and was seen prior to the robbery wearing a blue hat with a bull’s head on it.

He was seen driving a dark colored (possibly grey) Chevrolet truck (possibly an extended cab Silverado) with chrome rims, a tool box, and a chrome gas cap. The suspect then fled the store in the truck on Platt Springs Road toward West Columbia.

This case may be related to an armed robbery that took place at the same location in May.

Cornett asks that anyone with information about the identity of the individual involved call the Springdale Police Department at 803-796-3160 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or log onto www.midlandscrimestoppers.com and click the red “Submit a tip” tab.
