SCDOT to replace Gator Road bridge in Lexington County, closing Nov. 6

​The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announced Friday plans to replace the bridge on Gator Road (S-32-647) over Second Creek in Lexington County.

Replacement of the bridge is necessary due to structural deficiencies. The bridge will be closed on Monday, Nov. 6. Barring any unforeseen delays, the bridge should be reopened on Jan. 12.

Traffic will be detoured along Church Street (S-32-415), Princeton Road (S-32-1287) and Main Street (SC 302). The net detour length is approximately three miles.
