Rhythm on the River holds first concert of the spring series

Papa String Band

It was a beautiful evening by the Congaree River at West Columbia’s Riverwalk Amphitheater. The first CMC Rhythm on the River concert of the 2018 season took place. Last week’s show was a victim to rain. Saturday, Back South opened the night of music before Papa String Band played. There was also a cornhole contest with prizes for the winner. The event was emceed by Marty Hall of 94.3 The Dude. Next Week Prettier Than Matt and Flat Out Strangers are scheduled to play.

The popular free concerts are at the West Columbia Amphitheater at the base of the Gervais Street Bridge. Shows begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

The concerts are presented by the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce, with sponsorship from the City of West Columbia.
