The Flow townhouses continue to rise upward beside the Bridgepoint condominiums and the city’s Water Filtration Plant in West Columbia. Although it may be modest, the new construction, next to Riverwalk, is changing the skyline. Where a vacant lot, and the O’Brien Supply Co. building, once was, the shape of the townhouse complex becomes more apparent each day.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was killed at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday., at I-20 east at mile marker 58. Holland Avenue Baptist Church conducted a drive to collect school supplies. The effort resulted in a massive amount of supplies for students at Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology. Students report to school for the 2015-16 School Year, Wednesday. Teachers started back last Wednesday.

Sub-Station II in Cayce building up

At the Substation II, next to the Brookland-Cayce football stadium, renovations are taking place. The popular sandwich shop is not expanding, it’s adding a conventional roof. The flat-roof on the building made it more susceptible to leaks.
