Grey had to be airlifted to MUSC due to heart issues. He has congenital aortic stenosis, with abnormal thickening of other vessels. It is possible Gray will have surgery this week or next week. There will be a prayer service that is open to the community on Thursday (Aug. 10) at 7 p.m. at Congaree Baptist Church, 101 Pine Ridge Drive – West Columbia.

There will be a love offering opportunity at the service Thursday to help cover some of the family’s expenses. The family is having to stay in Charleston.

There is also a GoFundMe page set up at  Link to GoFundMe page  to help the family. Jenn and Shaun have three other boys and also have had to get accommodations and meals in Charleston to be with Baby Grey, said Steve Knight who knows the family through an association with Midland Dixie Youth Baseball.

The GoFundMe pages asks to “Please help Jenn and Shaun Palyok be able to focus on getting Baby Grey home and healthy and not worry about expenses right now.”
