The West Columbia Beautification Foundation (WCBF) held its Tribute for Trees event Thursday evening. It’s a fundraising effort to sponsor tree and plant projects in West Columbia. Last week a new Walmart Neighborhood Grocery opened in Cayce and the large Goodwill store opened in West Columbia. Both have been packed with customers since cutting the ribbon. It looks as if the new Salsarita’s and Starbucks on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia are nearing completion.
