West Columbia Police Officer Will Branham was shot with a Taser during a class on Women’s self-defense. The class was taught at West Columbia City Hall, Tuesday evening. Captain John Norman of the WCPD conducted the class. To become certified to use a Taser, Branahm is required to be tased.

Last week a new Walmart Neighborhood Grocery opened in Cayce and the large Goodwill store opened in West Columbia. Both have been packed with customers since cutting the ribbon. It looks as if the new Salsarita’s and Starbucks on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia are nearing completion.
