Paula Calhoon defeats Todd Carnes in SC House 87 GOP runoff

Paula Calhoon defeated Todd Carnes in the SC House 87 GOP runoff election, Tuesday. Calhoon got 54 percent ot the vote. Carnes got 46 percent. The Lexington-based seat was held by SC Rep. Todd Atwater, who left t to run for SC Attorney General.

Sean Carrigan defeated Annabelle Robertson in the US House Dist. 2 Democratic runoff election, Tuesday. Carrigan got 53 percent of the vote. Robertson got 47 percent. District 2 includes Lexington County. Carrigan will move on the face U.S. Rep. in the November general election.

Incumbent Alan Wilson has been declared the winner over Todd Atwater in the SCGOP Attorney General runoff election, Tuesday. With 99 percent of the state’s precincts reporting Wilson had 65 percent of the vote compared to Atwater’s 70 percent and Wilson was proclaimed the winner.
