Brookland-Cayce falls in State Championship girls soccer overtime game

After regulation Brookland-Cayce and Indian Land High School were tied at 1 in the State Championship troph3game in girls soccer.
And after two 10-minute overtimes and two 5-minute overtimes it was still 1-1 Saturday at Irmo High School.
The game was not decided until Indian Land blocked one of five penalty kicks to come away with a 5-3 advantage in the overtime kick-off.
BC Coach Emily Heise, filled with emotion, said her team played all season with heart, effort and love for the program. She said it was amazing to be a part of the BC program. She said BC is “something special.”

The Bearcats had some chances, especially in the second half, but several kicks just-missed. trophy
